Andahuaylas: An adventure through Sondor "Inka Bee"
The Chankas not need to put more beauty for its valleys and mountains had everything for your eyes.
Lima. The Chankas, ancient inhabitants of this land never needed to create marvelous engineering and grand palaces or temples to their rulers and priests, is not even present a planned program to build their homes
They did not need to put more beauty for its valleys and mountains had everything for your eyes from the water from the sky and the river to the fruits of a fertile land that could feed everyone if it worked and respected as it should.
At only 4 km, following the road to Kakiabamba is an archaeological site called Sondor. We refer to this group of buildings for the purpose, residential, religious and administrative Inka built during the rule Anccohuayllo after being defeated, the brave general Chanka and their thousands of brave warriors by the troops of young Inca Yupanqui named after his victory: Pachacutec .
Stresses in this complex a kind of conical pyramid, surrounded by terraces and slopes that are confused with platforms. To reach the top you ascend a staircase of 120 m. long and 1.80 m wide, with breaks in between the stone steps.
There on the top is a circle within which stands a natural rock ledge considered Huatana Inti (inka sundial). In the eyes of an observer who has read the history of Peru on the extirpation of idolatry Muyu Muyu, named this hill is a shrine destroyed by order of priests but still hints at its summit a sacred place for Inkas.
