PERU Termatalia Becomes motor thermal tourism development in Latin
'Termatalia Peru Water and Nature', held for the first time in Latin America from 28 to 30 September, became an engine for the development of health and wellness tourism in the region in the global epicenter of the sector and dynamic forum of cooperation between public and private sectors to develop hot springs and generate wealth in rural areas, where most of the mineral waters.
The fair was attended by 140 exhibitors from 21 countries: Argentina, Angola, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Slovakia, Spain, United States, France, Guatemala, Italy, Jordan, Mexico, Panama , Peru, Portugal and Romania. In addition, during the three days of the fair were more than 10,000 visits, of which about 2,800 were professionals in the health and wellness tourism.
The Tourist Recruitment Exchange managed approximately 300 appointments with about 20 buyers from ten countries. Thus, it is estimated a turnover of over U.S. $ 43 million.
In the Day on Hydrotherapy and Investment Projects, contacted investment projects related to the field of thermal and health tourism, proposed by six municipalities, with potential investors or facilitators to make possible the execution thereof, those involving an investment in Peru exceeds U.S. $ 14.5 million.
The participating municipalities that submitted projects construction of hotels and resorts close to their thermal areas are Marcapata (Cusco), The Mezeta (Churín) Caylloma province - Chivay (Arequipa), Santa Teresa (Cusco) and two projects in Bathrooms Inca (Cajamarca).
Also held the International Conference on Public Policy Cures that was led by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism-and-Mincetur National Observatory Cures and Rural Development and involving representatives from Peru, Spain, Argentina, Ecuador and Mexico.
The exhibition is complemented by other actions such as Fam Press professionals organized by the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for export and tourism-PromPerú-, involving specialized media in health tourism in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia , Mexico, Spain and Turkey, among others.
Parallel to Termatalia Peru, held the seventh edition of the International Conference on Water and Hydrotherapy which met for three days to more than 55 speakers from 13 countries and became the specialized forum on important health tourism between Europe and America America.
It was followed by more than 1,300 attendees and was divided into three thematic sessions: Technical Seminar on Medical Hydrology and Water drink Conference on Tourism, Innovation and Sustainability and Thermal Cities Meeting.
With the conclusion of the show in Peru, Termatalia strengthened its role as a bridge connecting the European and Latin American Hydrotherapy said Expourense Association of Spain.
