PromPerú international campaign began destinations of 2013 Dakar

Under the slogan: "It is the spirit of the desert, is the spirit of Peru", the Commission for the Promotion of Peru Export and Tourism (PromPeru) launched a campaign to promote domestic tourism and receptive to the destinations that will accompany the route Dakar Rally 2013.

According to the director of the Tourism Promotion PromPerú, María del Carmen de Reparaz, the campaign includes an investment of $ 1.6 million in traditional media, outdoor and online media, and seeks to highlight the presence of Peru as the host and starting the Rally Dakar 2013 and a national brand and promote the tourist attractions of Lima, Ica, Moquegua, Arequipa and Tacna, highlighting the majesty of the Peruvian desert.

The initiative will be carried out from this week, and continue throughout the month of December. The target audience is focused on the local, amateur motorsport and sport in general, and potential tourists from Colombia, Brazil, Chile, Argentina and Ecuador.

"The fact that Peru is heading the world's most famous rally promotes us as a country full of history, scenery and tradition. A region like Arequipa, with beautiful tourist attractions like the Colca Valley and its historic center, may be more closely observed by more than one billion people who follow the Dakar coverage next year, "said the director of Promperú.
