Inca period funerary remains were found in Machu Picchu
Two of the Inca period funerary remains were discovered at kilometer 103 of the railway between Cusco and Machu Picchu by specialists of the Regional Directorate of Culture.
Textiles, ceramics, a small jar, seed corn, among others, were also found in the rocky area on a hill close to the track, Salapunku sector, an area that corresponds to the archaeological site of Machu Picchu.
RPP reported, human remains are still part of skin at the joints. Everything found will be taken to a laboratory for analysis, said anthropologist Elba Torres.
